چکیده

In this paper, we formulate a robust SEIR epidemic disease model with a profitless delay and nonlinear incidence, and analyze the dynamics behaviors of the model under pulse vaccination. By use of the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, we obtain an ’infection-free’ periodic solution, further, show that the ’infection-free’ periodic solution is globally attractive when some parameters of the model are under appropriate conditions. Using the theory on delay functional and impulsive differential equation, we obtain sufficient condition with time delay for the permanence of the system, and prove that time delays, pulse vaccination and nonlinear incidence can bring obvious effects on the dynamics behaviors of the model. Our results indicate that the delay is “profitless”. The theoretical results are confirmed by numerical simulations.

Two profitless delays for an SEIRS epidemic disease model with vertical transmission and pulse vaccination

Since the investigation of impulsive delay differential equations is beginning, the literature on delay epidemic models with pulse vaccination is not extensive. In this paper, we propose a new SEIRS epidemic disease model with two profitless delays and vertical transmission, and analyze the dynamics behaviors of the model under pulse vaccination. Using the discrete dynamical system determined b...

Disease Control of Delay SEIR Model with Nonlinear Incidence Rate and Vertical Transmission

The aim of this paper is to develop two delayed SEIR epidemic models with nonlinear incidence rate, continuous treatment, and impulsive vaccination for a class of epidemic with latent period and vertical transition. For continuous treatment, we obtain a basic reproductive number ℜ0 and prove the global stability by using the Lyapunov functional method. We obtain two thresholds ℜ* and ℜ∗ for imp...

Network epidemics and early stage vaccination: the effects of infectious and vaccination delay periods and their randomness

It is known that the distributions of the latent and infectious periods affect the dynamics of the spread of an infectious disease. Here we consider the SEIR epidemic model describing the spread of an infectious disease giving life-long immunity in a community whose social structure can be represented by a simple random graph having a pre-specified degree distribution. Two real time vaccination...

Global Dynamical Behaviors for an Sir Epidemic Model with Time Delay and Pulse Vaccination

Since the investigation of impulsive delay differential equations are inchoate, the literature on delay epidemic models with pulse vaccination is not extensive. Using the discrete dynamical system determined by the stroboscopic map, we show that there exists an ’inf...

Global stability for delay SIR and SEIR epidemic models with nonlinear incidence rate.

In this paper, based on SIR and SEIR epidemic models with a general nonlinear incidence rate, we incorporate time delays into the ordinary differential equation models. In particular, we consider two delay differential equation models in which delays are caused (i) by the latency of the infection in a vector, and (ii) by the latent period in an infected host. By constructing suitable Lyapunov f...
